    (ANI)

Washington, May 11 : English pop singer songwriter Victoria Beckham is reportedly set to make her acting debut in Tom Cruise's film.

Posh has been given a role in the new movie Hardy Men after she was personally hired by Cruise, who is the star of the film, Contactmusic reported.

Cruise had recently left her speechless on her 34th birthday when he surprised her with an invitation to design the costumes for the forthcoming picture.

As told by British newspaper The Daily Express, Beckham was also asked by the Top Gun star to make a cameo appearance in the film.

The movie Hardy Men is a spoof of the children's book series The Hardy Boys.

Posh is no stranger to acting and her abilities to do so were seen last year (Nov07) when she appeared in hit TV series Ugly Betty as a bridesmaid to Vanessa Williams' catty fashion boss character, Wilhelmina Slater.
