 Gajdosova moves on in Stockholm

Stockholm, Sweden - Slovakian teenager Jarmila Gajdosova defeated sixth-seeded Anastasiya Yakimova of Belarus 6-2, 6-3 in first-round play of the Nordic Light Open on Tuesday.

Also, qualifier Urszula Radwanska of Poland, ranked 349th, ousted Ekatarina Bychkova of Russia 6-2, 6-2, while Greece's Eleni Daniilidou topped French qualifier Stephanie Cohen-Aloro, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.

Daniilidou, making her first appearance at Stockholm's Olympic Stadium, is looking for her fourth WTA Tour title, and her first since 2004.

Also moving into the second round were Kaia Kanepi of Estonia, Emmanuelle Gagliardi of Switzerland and Ukraine's Yulia Beygelzimer.

Top-seeded Anastasia Myskina of Russia, who lost last year's final to Katarina Srebotnik of Slovakia, was to face 2004 champion Alicia Molik of Australia later on Tuesday. - Sapa-AP
