    Nepali workers rally for the reprieve of Dolma Sherpa

    Kathmandu, Mar 27 : Qatar-based Nepali mission has collected Rs 1.1 million from Nepali workers in Qatar in a bid to save the life of Dolma Sherpa who was convicted by the Kuwait Preliminary on the charges of murdering a Filipino woman in Kuwait.

    The government had initiated the process of fund raising by providing Rs 400,000 as seed money for the purpose of bringing about a reprieve to Dolma's sentence.

    The Association of Non-Resident Nepalis (NRN) collected Rupees 300,000 from Nepali communities in different countries.

    According to an estimate Rs 5 million has to be paid as remuneration for the lawyers.
