    Pak girl enters into wedlock with Indian boy in Peshawar

    Defying geographical boundaries and the simmering tension between both countries, a Pakistani girl has entered into wedlock with an Indian boy here.

    Syed Imara, daughter of senior journalist Syed Shakeel Ahmed married Mohammad Khalid from Lucknow a few days ago, and both families agreed that people-to-people contact was an important tool to break the ice between India and Pakistan.

    Family members of the newly wed couple were of the view that people in both countries want peace and prosperity in the region.

    Talking to The Daily Times, Ahmed pointed out that post-partition, the relationship between two governments has deteriorated due to which people of the region suffered have a lot.

    Ahmed said people-to-people contact must be encouraged torestore regional peace and prosperity. (ANI)
