    Fiji hit by 6.2-magnitude earthquake

    A 6.2-magnitude earthquake rattled the region surrounding the South Pacific island nation of Fiji Tuesday evening, the United States Geological Survey said.

    The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.

    Information on damage and injuries were not immediately available.
