    US Open: Sania Mirza out of doubles as well

    India's Sania Mirza's run in the US Open tennis tournament ended with her losing in the first round of the women's doubles event.

    Sania and Russia's Vera Dushevina went down fighting 6-7(6), 2-6, 6-7(3) to 11th seeded Russians Alisa Kleybanova and Ekaterina Makarova here Thursday.

    Sania was already out of the singles event with a straight-set loss to Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the women's singles second round.
