    (IANS)

A powerful bomb, apparently triggered by a suicide bomber, exploded in the heart of Colombo during rush hour Friday morning, killing and wounding an unspecified number of people.

The attack was apparently targeted at a police bus that was passing by. Ambulances quickly evacuated the wounded to hospitals.
