"Listen, there are people that are coming down the pilot ladder of the prow. You go up that pilot ladder, get on that ship and tell me how many people are still on board. And what they need. Is that clear? You need to tell me if there are children, women or people in need of assistance. And tell me the exact number of each of these categories. Is that clear? Listen Schettino, that you saved yourself from the sea, but I am going to... I'm going to make sure you get in trouble. ...I am going to make you pay for this. Go on board."
Captain Gregorio De Falco

bullet Nepal's opposition refuses to integrate more ex- Maoist fighters into army corner

Nepal's main opposition has turned down Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai's request to allow more former rebels into the army.

Nepal politicians had earlier agreed to integrate 6,500 former Maoist fighters into the army.

According to analysts, the fate of former Maoist fighters is a major impediment in Nepal's peace process.

A Nepali Congress party spokesperson said the opposition refused to relent over the number of former insurgents, who would be allowed to integrate into the army and security forces.

Opposition parties said a new constitution for Nepal couldn't be drafted until the process of regrouping former rebels was completed.

Nepal's opposition said more insurgents should be allowed to join the army once people who lost land and property to the rebels during the war were given adequate compensation.

A protracted stand-off between the two main parties over the issue seems imminent
